Since
then the Lester Meier Rodeo Company, a Texas Style Event Planning team, has
been providing TX Event Planning Services such as Corporate Event
Planning, Convention Event Planning and stock for open pro and private convention
rodeos around Texas. This year the company
will produce over 20 open pro rodeos and bull riding performances in addition to 40
convention rodeos. From modest
beginnings, the Lester Meier Rodeo Company has grown in leaps and bounds. In 1973 the Fredericksburg F.F.A. chapter
approached young Meier about furnishing stock for their junior rodeo. Lester accommodated them even though he only had
five practice bulls at the time. The rodeo
was a success and before the season was over, 23 year old Meier had contracted four other
F.F.A. rodeos in the area. The following year,
Meier purchased additional bucking and roping stock, produced seven junior rodeos and was
on his way. Lester can truly relate to the
rodeo contestant’s problems since he was once a bull rider himself. At his first rodeo in Harper, Texas, he took home
the winning time in the bull riding and continued his rodeo career until he was gored by a
bull at the Austin Livestock Show and Rodeo. This ended his days
as an active contestant but not his interest in producing rodeos. Lester and his wife, Holly, work together
producing the rodeo and corporate events with the help of their daughters and crew. Each rodeo produced by the Lester Meier Rodeo
Company carries the same high quality trademark- top stock, fast and efficient production
with a personal dedication to bringing you, the best rodeo yet. Texas cowboys regard
both the bucking horses and bulls as double tough. Each
head of stock has seen plenty of action having bucked many times previously in arenas
throughout the state. Lester’s rodeo
bulls have also garnered national attention through a Reader’s Digest article called
“ A Cowboy’s Last Chance. The rodeo company
has moved up one more step with their company Texas Style Professional Event Planners,
Inc. They now travel all over Texas
setting up corporate events for all types of corporations. In his spare time
Lester is a full time rancher, managing 3500 acres of ranch land. This Fredericksburg native also continues to be
very active in the community and has had a great impact on Gillespie and surrounding
